For students wanting to request a delay in publication of their thesis, this must done before the thesis is submitted electronically. How to Request a Delay in Publication UBC theses and dissertations are normally published electronically through cIRcle one or two days after final submission. Please make sure you use the same email address that you entered in cIRcle. On the Insert menu, select Symbol. Select the symbol, then click Insert. Important: If there are special characters for example, diacritics or symbols in your title or abstract, you can enter them in cIRcle by following the instructions in Entering Special Characters at the bottom of this page. Please do this right away; you may get an 'Invalid token' error message if you delay too long. You will not receive a reminder, so please be sure to note the release date of your thesis. Students are encouraged to proof read their thesis carefully before submitting the final version. If the Faculty of Graduate and Postdoctoral Studies has received your forms, your cIRcle account will be activated and you will receive an email confirming that you can now submit your thesis.
